General Elections 2025

The Executive Body of Namal Alumni Association will be democratically elected and the Alumni registered on Namal Alumni Portal will be able to contest for executive body positions and vote for their favorite candidates. The elections will be conducted online via Namal Alumni Portal. For assistance with login please write to apo@namal.du.pk

Eligibility Criteria

General eligibility criteria for all nominees
  • The candidate must not have any disciplinary case against him/her and should demonstrate a professional demeanor.
  • The candidate must not be an active member of the Executive Committee/Council of the Alumni Association of any other university locally or abroad.
  • The candidate must be able to dedicate the required time to run the affairs of Namal Alumni Association.
  • The candidate must not have any criminal record and should not be involved in harassment at the workplace.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates with a proven track record of social work and entrepreneurial spirit. Such candidates will have to share supporting documents for proof and impact of their work.

Proposed Timeline for General Elections 2025

Upon approval and constitution of the Namal Alumni Association Steering Committee, the following timeline for the Namal Alumni Association General Elections 2025 is proposed:

General Elections Process

Stage 1: Announcement of Elections

The elections should be announced publicly at least 05 weeks in advance of the election date. After the elections are announced, the Namal University Alumni will register on the portal and initiate the electoral process by applying for various executive posts.

Stage 2: Nomination Period

The interested candidates can submit their nominations online within the specified period. One candidate can't apply for more than one post if held eligible.

Stage 3: Verification of Candidates

The interested candidates will undergo a scrutiny process to verify their eligibility by the Namal Alumni Association Steering Committee.

Stage 4: Campaigning

The nominated candidates will conduct an election campaign by coming up with an election manifesto and action plan to serve the Namal Alumni Association.

Stage 5: Announcement of Election Results

After verification by NAASC and subsequent approval from the Rector, election results will be communicated to the alumni association. This includes posting results on the association's website (Namal Alumni Portal) or through other media platforms.

Stage 6: Alumni Association Oath Ceremony (Proposed)

During the Oath Ceremony, new members of the executive body will take their oath of office and be awarded with official Namal pins, symbolizing their commitment and service to the alumni community.

Stage 7: Transition of Leadership

Newly elected officers or board members will begin their roles upon result announcement. After each election, there will be a 6-month transition period for outgoing alumni to transfer responsibilities and provide advisory support. Former committee members may attend meetings but will not possess decision-making authority.
