The Division:
Client Corporation, the leading supplier of Business Systems for the heavy equipment dealership market, is building and expanding a team whose focus is on new development working with the latest technologies.
Its primary focus is on developing easy to use applications that are self-learnable. They use the following set of technologies: Java, SpringBoot, Grails, Groovy, Hibernate/JPA, VueJS, and Objective C. For data storage and retrieval, they primarily use PostgreSQL server.
Client is part of Constellation Software Inc. (CSI) group of companies – publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol 'CSU'.
The Position:
We are looking for a Trainee Software Developer (Java) to join one of our R&D teams in Lahore. The selected candidate will be trained for 3 to 3.5 months to become good developer capable of working on enterprise level applications. After the end of the internship period, there is a good possibility of full-time employment based on the satisfactory performance during the internship.
The chosen individuals will work out of the Contour Software Lahore resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Good programming concepts.
- Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Comfortable with SQL queries, and basic database development concepts.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and principles.
- Any experience or knowledge of Java will be a plus
- Knowledge of REST APIs.
- Experience and knowledge of Git.
- A quick learner, with attention to detail, and the commitment to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices
- Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
- Any experience of Java, Sprint Boot, SQL will be a plus
- Any experience of VUEJS will be a plus
- Any experience of mobile application development with Xamarin / Maui will be a plus
